Sawdust, residues from the production of banknotes, peat, Guinness, coffee husks, grisemøg and elephant grass. These are just some of the materials that have been through briquetting presses for many of the larger wood and briquette manufacturers when making some high quality brænde. And now some new briquettes seen the light. They are heavy, smooth, chocolate-colored and made of “torrefied wood”, a kind of toasted wood which can also be used as brænde.
“In torrefied wood is approximately 20-25 percent of wood weight removed, but the greater amount of energy is conserved. This means that the cost of shipping is reduced. Additionally, the goal is also to make the wood water resistant, which means that the cost of storage space is reduced because it can be stored outside, ” which makes it really ideal for brænde. One of the companies who focus on developing briquette and brænde technology is here at Brænde tilbud which delivers some of the highest quality of brænde in Denmark.
It must also be stresses that a third economic stimulus is that torrefied wood behaves like coal, briketter or træpiller. In contrast to pellets can be used in coal plants without the works to be built on like they do at brænde tilbud which is one of the leading tech companies in this field of work.
Another company worth mentioning is Billig Briketter which using this new technology to create some wooden fire briquettes of extremely high quality whichs burns stronger and longer than most other types of briketter on the market today. These are often used to produce heat in private homes. Each year technology have improved the effect of these a little bit.
A proper pressure sixteen
With modern technology it is possible to develop briquettes and firewood on the machine that will transform torrefied wood from wood to briquettes. The producer of the wood has demanded that the coals may not contain moisture, the material is brittle, but must be water repellent and extra compressed by using technics such as the ones developed by stoker træpiller or brænde tilbud. Friction is up to five times higher than normal, and piston pressure in modern technology as the new briquette should be substantially higher than the production of other briquettes, briketter or brænde like shown at Stoker Træpiller.
“We had expected that we would build a new machine, but it has proven that we can use the one we use today, just in a reinforced version with some updated technology to create some brænde and briketter of even better quality. Today, our machines produce about 1.5 tons per hour, while the machine torrefied wood will produce about five tons per hour every day every week. It’s a much bigger design task than just bake a bigger cake as many of the larger technology companies, such as stoker træpiller or Brænde seems to do with a lot of success.
Contemporary wood and briquette factories expect that one of the smaller, modified machines will run at the customer’s next year, while the minimum will go two or three years before the prototype for the large machine is designed, constructed and tested?
